Our client, London Borough of Barking and Dagenham, is looking for a Social Worker to join their Adult team.

Job Purpose

1. Within the context of the Care Act 2014, provide person-centred social work intervention, enabling service users to be safe, optimise and maintain their independence and wellbeing, and promote their inclusion as full citizens in their homes and the local community.

2. To specialise in adults social work, whilst gaining skills and knowledge in the other specialism (either children's social work or adults depending on their existing specialism), to develop expertise in life planning.

3. To provide a high standard of social work to users arising out of the Council's duties and powers under legislation, and in line with divisional policy, procedures and guidelines and the HCPC's (Health & Care Professions Council), or successor body's, Code of Conduct/Code of Ethics for Social Workers and the Professional Capabilities Framework.

You will need to be:

Social work england registered
Eligible to work in the UK
Atleast 1 year post qualifying experience
