Secondary SEN T.A (Mainstream School) - Newham

Do you have experience working with secondary-aged students in KS3 & KS4 with additional needs?

Are you looking for a full-time position on a long-term basis and can make a positive impact to pupils' lives?

If so, In Reach is working with a fantastic SEN School based in Newham that is seeking a new member of staff to support pupils with SEMH difficulties and other complex needs in the secondary phase of the school from September.

They offer a range of learning opportunities and have excellent facilities.

The Head is looking for an individual who can join the school in the coming weeks on a full-time basis.

This opportunity will continue in the new academic year and has the potential to go onto the school's contract thereafter.

Criteria:

  • Degree qualified or completed relevant educational courses
  • Team Teach, Manual Handling de-escalation, and other training (highly desirable)
  • Worked with KS3 and KS4 aged pupils
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour and hard to reach students
  • Able to motivate and inspire secondary aged pupils
  • Previously worked in a school, alternative provision, or similar environment
  • Can commit to a full-time role (8.30am-3:30pm)
  • Based in East London or a commutable distance
  • DBS on the updates service or willing to complete asap
  • Looking for career progression and would like to gain more experience
