The Strategic Head of Asset Management is a new role. It brings together the strategic asset management of both Corporate and Housing portfolio. Its purpose is to plan and deliver an asset management strategy for the H&F property portfolio, owned by both the general fund and housing revenue account.
One of this role's key objectives in the long term, is to ensure that assets across the Council are used to deliver ruthless financial efficiency and opportunities for rationalisation of the portfolio established and implemented. Value for money and efficiencies will be delivered through the development of planned maintenance programmes, in conjunction with Property Services within Housing and Facilities Management of the Corporate stock. In terms of the Valuations and Property Services Practice, the role will also direct the delivery of the service to ensure an efficient and cost-effective service is delivered and value for money is achieved by the Council.
