Global Delay Teaching Assistant - Greenwich South East London

Remedy Education are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a young student with Global Delay. You will work closely with the student one to one with the classroom helping them with their education and development.

You will help them with their literacy and numeracy and provide regular phonics interventions. You will use visual aids to help with academic development and communication skills. You will make sure the pupil remains engaged within the classroom, helping with their participation and inclusion, by creating and implementing innovative activities and tasks. You will have to observe the progress of the pupil in detail. You will be instrumental in the planning and implementation of Individual Education Plans, ensuring that the pupil remains in line with the goals and targets set.

You will be experienced working with SEN pupils within a school, with specific experience working with children with Global Learning Delay. You will be Level 2 qualified, at a minimum, with a commitment to the welfare and safeguarding of the pupils. You will demonstrate patience, reliability and flexibility while maintaining a positive attitude towards your work. You will also have experience working with PECS and other visual aids.
