Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Family Therapist to work within Lewisham Council.

Job Purpose

We have redesigned our First Response Team and are looking for a Family Therapist who is willing to work in an innovative way with children and families. You will support in developing this new specialist team which aims to improve longer term outcomes for children and families and reduce the need for longer term statutory interventions. The First Response Team works with children and families to prevent children coming into care by providing solution-focused intervention for families on the edge of care. The team also supports the reunification of children in care within their family networks (where this is possible).

This is an opportunity to deliver therapeutic support to children and families and to lead on the provision of therapeutic, evidence based interventions. You will be managing and supervising a team of 6 First Response Family practitioners who will be supporting children and families alongside the allocated social workers, providing therapeutic, systemic, solution-focused interventions to reduce risk factors associated with children/young people coming into care. You will also be providing consultation to social care staff and participating in group supervision.

You will need to be:

HCPC registered
