Remedy Education mare seeking to appoint an English teacher to re-engage and support our most vulnerable students and raise the attainment of our often hard to reach KS3, KS4 and Post-16 cohort (English re-takes).

Applicants will hold QTS and will be subject specialists, able to teach English to GCSE standard, albeit to students who are struggling to access the curriculum and are likely to have learning and speech and language needs. The successful applicant will be teaching at our KS4/Post-16 centre in Stepney Green, as well as provide extensive pastoral support to re-engage our students with education and make them feel confident about attending school.

An understanding and experience of how to support our students with their literacy skills, how to close their often immense gaps in knowledge and skills, as well as facilitating rapid progress to maximise attainment is essential.

The successful candidate will be able to relate to our students, most of whom have a multitude of social, behavioural and emotional needs. Many of our students have not had the best start in life and need outstanding teachers who will be supportive, kind and knowledgeable, yet boundaried and firm.
