English Graduate - Greenwich - Secondary Mainstream school

This Ofsted good school located in Greenwich are currently recruiting for a recent English graduate, this applicant will be supporting students and teachers in the classroom as an assistant. You will be placed in a department relevant to your degree and mainly mentor students who need more English support. This school is below average on passing English compared to schools in the vicinity. There will also be a chance to work with students of all ages and abilities including KS3-KS4 (year 7-11 aged 11-16) Any prior experience with working with this age group or tutoring will be highly desirable, so please do highlight this on your application and CV.

The successful applicant will be given details of specific students who may require more assistance and mentoring compared to there peers. You will also be tasked with providing small group interventions, whilst working alongside these identified students. Supporting with the relevant materials in relation to the subjects

Key aspects of the role:

  • Any experience of mentoring tutoring or supporting young people is highly desirable.
  • Opportunity to gain more experience and assist at a supportive secondary school in the heart of Greenwich.
  • Pay will be dependent on experience but will range between £325 - £ 375 (per week), solely dependent upon confirmed hours and experience in this area.
