PURPOSE OF ROLE:

To develop and lead on the development and implementation of the early years SEND and inclusion strategy for Ealing ensuring close alignment with wider strategic planning.

To strategically lead on effective joint working across agencies and organisations to ensure that all young children with special educational needs have their needs identified early and access the support that they need.

To discharge responsibilities to young children antenatal to five in the local authority as required under the SEN Code of practice through effective joint working with ESCAN and responsive to the legislative framework.

To lead on the SEND inclusion team within Early Start as part of a wider development and strategic response for all professionals working to identify and support young children with SENs and their families.

To oversee the mandatory SEN inclusion fund to ensure that all early education and childcare providers are supported to deliver high quality inclusive services to young children being sensitive and involving their families.
