£18-£28 per hour

Required to provide high quality specialised development control services

Candidate Profile

Development control experience

Experience of effective consultation techniques

Eligible for chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute and/or other professional qualification

Detailed knowledge of relevant Town Planning legislation, practice and government guidance

Knowledge and familiarity with communication and consultation techniques

Commitment to keep up to date with professional knowledge, expertise and best practice

Good IT skills

Able to own on own initiative and as a member of a team

Able to draft reports and documents in a clear and concise manner

Good written and verbal presentation and communication skills

Well-developed negotiating and advocacy skills

Able to work well in a pressurised and sometimes difficult environment

Experience of responding to changing priorities, meeting deadlines and maintain high quality services

A high level of analytical, verbal and numeric reasoning skills

Undertake unaccompanied site visits as appropriate

May be required to work outside normal office hours to attend Committees and/or other meetings
