Designated Safeguarding Lead

Remedy Education are working with a school in Clapham, South West London, to support their recruitment of an interim Designated Safeguarding Lead, starting in September 2021. This role will be covering sabbatical leave.

This important role will be instrumental in ensuring the school continues to fulfil and exceed their safeguarding responsibilities, and you will make a significant difference to maintaining and raising standards of safeguarding at the school.

As the Designated Safeguarding Lead, you will take the lead in ensuring that statutory procedures and Local Authority Safeguarding Procedures are in place and effectively implemented. You will also take a lead role in coordinating the provision of support in school for students on a child protection plan, children in need, vulnerable students and children at risk of harm/in need of child protection. This will require liaising with students, parents, carers and outside agencies as appropriate, and keeping records, analysing information and producing reports.

To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate significant experience of leading safeguarding and have undertaken relevant CPD.
