Gloucestershire County Council are looking for a Delivery Officer (Surveying)
1 day in the office. 4 days on site. 37 hours per week. The Asset Management and Property Services team manages the Gloucestershire County Council estate. We are an established Property Services and Estates Management team who take pride in delivering high quality service to sites across the County (including educational establishments) to ensure we have a fully compliant estate. We have the knowledge and expertise to advise on legislative, statutory requirements, national guidelines and best practice requirements for property matters. How you'll help us make a difference. We are currently looking for an experienced Surveyor to help us manage our estate Your knowledge and experience will enable you to undertake premises and land/structures visits, inspections, and condition surveys and produce associated reports and instruct any immediate works that are appropriate to the role. Your knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and best practice will help us to ensure that our estate remains compliant and that clients, contractors and consultants are aware of appropriate responsibilities. Your project management skills will be required to manage minor works projects for works identified during inspection, including data collection and reporting, procurement of works and monitoring of contractors. Your excellent customer service will enable you to work effectively with customers, ensuring effective identification of needs and co-ordination of resources.
This is what we need you to do...
- To undertake premises visits, inspections, and condition surveys and produce associated reports and carry out any immediate works that are appropriate to the role.
- To provide end to end project management for works identified during inspection, including data collection and reporting, procurement of works and monitoring of contractors.
- To work closely with schools, governing bodies and other partners to ensure effective identification of needs and co-ordination of resources and promotion of the service, and to identify opportunities for jointly funded schemes in accordance with Asset Management planning principles.
- To undertake and commission property related surveys and investigations to prepare technical/ feasibility reports and other relevant reports and to provide planning, building regulations, fire regulations and other advice relevant to scheme proposals.
To support the Strategic function within AMPS to develop programmes of activity to manage the Council's property portfolio
