Job description

Our client Coventry City Council is looking for a Senior Practitioner (Childrens) to join their Help and protection team.

How much WFH is it - will they require drivers? Yes, drivers required please. Social workers work from home but, do need to still complete visits to children and families as required and will be on team duty one or two days a week so would need to be office based on those days. One week in four the social workers will need to be based in the office for the whole week as their team will be on duty.

How big are caseloads at the minute? Currently caseloads are around 18 to 20 children

Previous exp needed? Experience of completing child and family assessments is essential. Also essential is experience of working with children in need, children and child protection plans and of accommodating children is needed. Court experience is desirable.

Would they accept part-time or condensed hours? Yes this will be considered

Is equipment provided? Yes, laptop, mobile phone and equipment for working at home such as desk and keyboard, mouse and monitor would be provided would all need to be returned.

Essential requirements:

  • Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
  • Registration with Social Work England
  • ASYE completed
