Job description

Our client Cornwall Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their Disabled Children and Therapy Service team.

We require a qualified, experienced social worker for our Disabled Children and Therapy Service in the West of Cornwall whilst recruitment takes place.

***Plus a contribution towards travel and accommodation expenses subject to negotiation***

The successful candidate should be knowledgeable and experienced in working within a children's legal framework, knowledge of disability and working with disabled children, young people and parents/carers is essential. Have good written and verbal communication skills to work with a range of professionals and vulnerable families and be able to complete assessments.

The candidate must hold a recognised social work qualification and be registered with Social Work England and be able to travel and have their own transport. The role is initially for 3 months with the possibility of being reviewed for extension.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
