The successful candidate will be working in a busy team undertaking Quality Assurance inspections of varying work streams to establish cost, quality and compliance within the required standards and legislative requirements.
You will be required to accurately record your findings and report on issues and trends on contractors' performance and quality of workmanship, and also to approve or withhold payment for works as appropriate.
They will be responsible for managing your workload and for the development of additional systems and processes, as well as assisting with the timely completion of your audits/inspections and close out observations; offering support to other departments within the organisation to promote a positive approach to Quality Assurance. The post holder will require a good understanding of the following areas:
Building / Building Services Pathology.
Construction Technology.
Environmental Science.
The Building Regulations and Planning.
Contract Administration.
Legal & Regulatory Compliance and the Management of Health & Safety.
Information Management/Records Keeping.
Knowledge of project/contract administration and Quality Management Systems in construction.
Experience of liaison with residents, and managing contractors and a range of stakeholders in relation to construction activities.
