Classroom Support Assistants - North London

Remedy are looking for suitably qualified and experienced classroom support staff to join our outstanding school.

Our Primary School based in Enfield support children with moderate to complex learning difficulties and other various SEN needs.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working with children special educational needs and more specifically. We are specifically looking for support staff with a particular specialism such as ASD, Speech and Language, SLD and PMLD. Due to the nature of the students a patient, caring and compassionate approach is needed. We are looking for recent graduates who are looking to build their experience working with SEN pupils and more experienced SSAs, Special Needs Support Assistants and SEN TAs.

You will be working in special school settings and will support students with ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition), complex needs and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties). The majority of students are non-verbal and with such a wide range of learning difficulties, and students are supported by a multidisciplinary team including physiotherapists and speech and language therapists.

Some students will have physical disabilities are wheelchair users. Being able to use Makaton or PECs will be ideal. You will also assess individual learning needs and work on a group basis. Personal Care (feeding and changing) will be required as well.

Recent experience and a genuine passion for working with SEN pupils are essential. All applicants will need to hold a current enhanced DBS and be fully compliant to work in the UK.
