Job description
Qualified Social Worker - Cheshire West & Chester - Permanence Team
We are recruiting interim social workers to join our Permanence Team based in Ellesmere Port. We are recruiting additional social workers above our normal establishment to ensure manageable caseloads. With this in mind, we're looking for candidates with at least 3 years post qualified and have significant experience in duty/assessment, child protection and Court skills and have proven performance in quality case work in line with Cheshire Wests expectations, and an ability to work openly and honestly with our children, families and partner agencies.
We offer excellent supervision and manageable caseloads, working alongside stable teams of experienced social workers and permanent established Team Managers. Free parking in all our localities, access to all in house training and development to support CPD.
It would be beneficial if the candidate lives within a reasonable distance from Ellesmere Port, as whilst we do work hybrid, there is an expectation of regular working from our office bases. Where possible, please can the CV indicate where the candidate resides. Unfortunately, we are not able to support candidates with costs of accommodation or travel.
We have increased our rate to £40 per hour. However, can it please be noted that we are not able to consider CVs that don't specifically meet the clear requirements set out in the order and newly qualified social workers are not suitable for these posts.
