Capital Works Programme Manager

An experienced Capital Works Programme Manager needed to lead effective programme and project management to deliver timely, cost effective and innovative solutions for all Council capital projects; reporting progress monthly to the Capital Strategy Board.

To lead programme and project management to deliver innovative and effective solutions for regeneration projects including community consultation.

To work closely with the Asset Management team to ensure cost effective project related land assembly and acquisition.

To establish and monitor robust systems for all aspects of project management, including Project Initiation Documents, project plans, risk registers and communications plans.

To ensure that projects are procured and managed effectively and that contracts follow all required corporate procedures and achieves best value.

To provide high quality and timely advice to the public, Council Members (including the Cabinet, Overview and Scrutiny Committee and scrutiny panels), the Chief Executive, the Strategic Director Regeneration Housing and Resources and all other council staff where necessary.

To carry out any other duties required from time to time by the AD Assets, Infrastructure and Regeneration which are consistent with the Council's expectations of a manager at this level.
