The council is leading on the development of new community hubs, providing multi-functional space to accommodate a range of community activities, including, but not limited to, community cafés, nursery provision, exercise classes, community events and classes.

The role will support the provision of 3 community hubs which are at different stages of delivery. This will include project managing the planning for the development of one hub; putting in place a managing partner for another hub that has been completed through leading a procurement process and finalising the managing partner and facilities management arrangements for the third hub which is due to start development this spring.

The key tasks of the role are to effectively project manage and lead on planning, procurement and facilities management arrangements for community hub projects including scoping, the coordination of plans, resources, budgets, risks, quality, performance and delivery, ensuring the provision of regular and accurate progress reports for key stakeholders. Lead on putting in place leases with operators and supporting all preparations for the launch of hubs. This will include putting in place contracts for a variety of maintenance services such as street cleaning, window cleaning and servicing of the plant.

The interim role sits in the Business Change Team within the Chief Executive's office and reports to the Change Business Partner and Assistant Director as project sponsor.
