The Role - Behaviour Mentor
This Behaviour Mentor role is to support children who struggle with concentrating in the class and engaging in activities and can exhibit challenging behaviour. As a Behaviour Mentor you will build rapports with each student taking led on 1-2-1 activities, you will be expected to adapt the activities to the interest of the students i.e. if the students enjoys sport, music, cooking, these will be included in the activity. The ideal Behaviour Mentor will have strong behaviour management skills, someone who can set boundaries as well as delivering a stimulating environment.
The School - Behaviour Mentor
This Secondary SEN school provides education to children age 11 - 16 some of whom have EHCPS. They have high tech sports facilities and huge outdoor surroundings where most children spend a lot of time. They have a SLT who provide training and support for all members of staff to ensure that students are receiving a high standard of education.
