Job description

Remedy Education are working on an exciting opportunity for a Autism support worker to begin working with a Primary School in the Lewisham area. The school are looking for a caring and passionate teaching assistant who is experienced in supporting children who have special educational needs. The position is to work 1:1 with a child who presents with Autism and the associated challenging behaviours.

The successful candidate will have the right attitude alongside SEN experience in order to meet the demands of the role supporting the KS1 child. You must be committed to building a trusting relationship with the pupil, so you can successfully encourage them to participate in learning. The school welcomes those who have experience working in SEN schools, with a pro-active and engaging personality.

The successful candidate will be working full time hours 8:30am-4pm and must be available to work as soon as the children return to school in September (dependent on Government guidelines).
