Autism Specialist - Teaching Assistant - Camden, North London


STARTING FEBRUARY 2020 AFTER HALF-TERM

Do you understand Autism Spectrum Condition and love to work with children?

Remedy Education work with a SEN school who are in need of a Teaching Assistant to support a small class of children with their learning needs. The class have multiple special educational needs, predominantly autism which can be very challenging.

As a Teaching Assistant you will work Monday to Friday 8.30am-4.00pm however the role can also be available on a part time or day to day basis.

Your role is to work within the classroom, managing behaviour, helping to deliver the curriculum, ensuring the students are involved and assisting with any other needs which may arise. You will be expected to handle any personal care needs and ensure you have the wellbeing of the students in mind at all times.

  • £75-85 a day - depending on experience

Having a good knowledge of SEN in general but mainly Autism is beneficial, and a non-judgemental and enthusiastic attitude would suit the learning environment.
