Attendance Officer - Camden, North West London - Remedy Education

Remedy Education is working alongside with a Primary school based in the borough of Camden who are recruiting for an experienced Attendance officer. Interested applicants must have experience working with SIMS system. This exciting opportunity is available on a full-time basis Monday to Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm.

We are looking for:

• Someone with exceptional organisational skills with proficient numeracy, literacy and IT skills
• Someone has experience using SIMS package
• Confident to make home visits to parents
• Administer first aid / supervise during the student lunch break.
• Provide exceptional levels of customer service to pupils, parents and staff.
• A team player

Candidates will be expected to:

• Responsibility for the administration of student attendance within SIMS
• Ensure all registers are completed and no missing marks or unexplained absences remain
• To follow up on staff for missing registers as necessary
• Responsible for the daily update of systems with reasons for absence, contact home for unknown absences, messaging regarding lateness to school
• To check the accuracy of registers and, where necessary classes, to ensure absent students are genuinely absent

To join us and be successful as an Attendance Officer you will need to:

• Have or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference check.
• Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained
• You must have the legal right to work in the UK
