Job description

Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager to work within a Single Point of Contact/MASH service for a Local Authority based in South London.

Job Purpose

This role will involve:

  • Operational duty management overseeing triage of incoming referrals into SPOC; allocation of SPOC Assessments to social workers within the team; tracking and monitoring progress of SPOC Assessments towards ensuring timely decision making
  • Managing the organisation of the duty rota and functions within SPOC
  • Making decisions on the outcome of SPOC Assessments
  • Liaising with Assessment Units and Early Help to promote good decisions and outcomes for children; consistent thresholds and collaborative decision making
  • Providing advice and direction to social workers and helping make decisions in complex cases
  • Liaising with and coordinating partner agencies within the SPOC to assist decision making and functioning of SPOC
  • Chairing Strategy Discussions
  • Involvement in Threshold Discussion work
  • Supervising social wokers
  • Supporting Team Manager and Service manager in promoting on-going practice development

You will need to be:

HCPC registered
