Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Team Manager to work in Croydon Council.

Job Purpose

Croydon Families Assessment Service is the referral and assessment service in Croydon. The change of name embraces the new ways the Service works with families - supporting families to identify family led plans at the beginning of the social work intervention, while the statutory children and family assessments of need, Section 47 enquiries are completed alongside the social work intervention.

Ofsted noted in the 2020 Inspection the Service had been 'transformed', which is down to the dedication, commitment and hard work of the social workers and Management team, who know what good looks like and expect and deliver the best for Croydon's children and their families. The Service is structured and supportive - duty is on a 6 week rotation - caseloads are manageable.

Croydon are seeking experienced Assistant Team Managers to join the Service - applicants must have 2+ years of managing in a referral and assessment service, understand the demands at the front door into statutory Children Services, have confidence in managing in a busy Service, with the support of the Team Manager, meeting key Performance Indicators, supporting and nurturing social workers and contributing to the Services high expectations of excellence.

Please do not submit candidates who do not have Assistant Team Management experience within referral and assessment.

Croydon continues to adopt a hybrid working pattern. The expectation is Assistant Team Mangers are office based when on duty (1 week in 6)
