Remedy Education is currently searching for a passionate and dedicated ASD Teaching Assistant to join a Greenwich Special Needs School. The role will be predominantly working on a 1:1 basis with KS3/4 pupils diagnosed with ASD and additional needs (typically, SPLD and/or MLD). This role would be perfect for an experienced ASD Teaching Assistant looking to expand their skillset.

The contract will commence ASAP until the end of the school year in July in the first instance. For a successful ASD Teaching Assistant, there may be a permanent job offer in September 2022.

Paid trial days to start as soon as possible!

The Role:

  • Working on a 1:1 basis with a KS3/4 student with a diagnosis of ASD and additional needs
  • Liaising with SLT, parents/carers to follow EHCP's and adequately support all students
  • Supporting additional needs such as SEMH, MLD and/or SPLD
  • Working closely with the class teacher to deliver SEND best practice
  • 9am - 3.30pm Monday - Friday

To Apply for this ASD Teaching Assistant role you will have:

  • Ideally previous experience working within a Complex Needs School (preferred but not essential)
  • Previous experience working on a 1:1 or whole class basis supporting learners with ASD
  • A calm, confident demeanour with a proactive attitude
  • A clear, enhanced DBS on the update service (or the means to apply for a new one)
