An outstanding Primary School in Greenwich that is walking distance from the train station, are looking for an experienced graduate to support several pupils with ASD. This ASD Teaching Assistant position is open to any graduate with experience of working with ASD pupils in any child centric environment. As such applications are particularly welcome from Psychology graduates who may have volunteered with charities or Special Schools, and therefore have an excellent grasp of the day to day care of pupils on the autistic spectrum.

This ASD Teaching Assistant role is to support both in class and on a 1 to 1 basis with several pupils on the autistic spectrum. The ASD Teaching Assistant post will include monitoring, observing and helping to implement an individual education plan to aid each child's academic and pastoral progress. It is important as a ASD Teaching Assistant that you have patience, understanding and empathy for the complicated symptoms of this disorder. In this job you will learn different ways of enabling learning via schemes and projects orchestrated by the inclusion manager.
