ASD Teaching Assistant - Secondary SEN school - Greenwich
Are you looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder?
Remedy are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant to provide support to our Primary students in Schools in Greenwich. You will be working alongside the class teacher to provide support in lessons. The role will be working with pupils between 11-18 years old on a full time basis.
We are currently working with a number of SEN and Secondary Schools who are looking for Teaching Assistants, we are also able to find a role that works for you.
The working hours for schools role are Monday to Friday 8.30am and 4pm. We are looking for candidates that want fulltime positions to fill he school requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Work on a 1:1 and small group basis with children who have additional needs.
- Supporting the class teacher to deliver engaging and differentiated sessions.
- Supporting children to thrive both academically and socially.
- Create a fun, safe and supportive environment for children to thrive and excel in school.
- Assist with break and lunch duties.
Requirements:
- Must have recent and relevant experience working with children or adults with SEN is desirable.
- Be available Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 4pm for work.
- Be comfortable providing personal care if needed.
- Have a DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one. You will get a full refund with us when you work 20 days.
