ASD TA / SEN TA / Special Needs Teaching Assistant

  • All-through special needs school
  • Caters for pupils with a range of needs including ASD, MLD, SLD, PMLD, SEMH
  • Based in Greenwich
  • Long-term, full-time role
  • Daily rate from £70 - £85

Remedy Education are currently recruiting for an ASD TA / SEN TA / Special Needs TA to support secondary aged pupils on a 1:1 basis within an all-through special needs environment. This is an Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' school with exceptional facilities. Continued professional development courses and training sessions are run weekly to upskill their staff. The ASD TA / SEN TA / Special Needs TA will be supporting students on a 1:1 basis who have ASD and who display challenging behaviour. This will be a full-time, long-term role to commence after February half-term.

Job Role

  • ASD TA / SEN TA / Special Needs TA
  • Working with secondary students with special needs (ASD and challenging behaviour)
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups
  • May be some personal care depending on needs of pupils
  • Assisting the class teacher in duties such as preparing resources and managing pupil behaviour
  • Providing feedback on pupil progress
  • Full-time, long-term role to commence in after February half-term
  • Daily rate from £70 per day (dependant on experience)

Job Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
  • Experience working within a school environment
  • Knowledge or previous experience supporting pupils with SEND
  • Valid DBS/Police Checks
  • Effective classroom management, curriculum knowledge, and good communication skills
  • Adaptable and flexible personality
