Job description

Remedy Education are looking for a Year 6 Teacher for a lovely primary school based in Bromley.

This Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and passionate Primary School Teacher to cover a maternity leave to until July 2019

The job role:

The school are looking for a Good Y6 teacher to take a Y6 split class. So, it would be half the class in the morning (approx. 12 children) for English, Maths and Reading and then intervention groups in the afternoon. One afternoon per week would be taking the whole of the Y6 class (25 children) and there would be one afternoon per week PPA. There would also be the possibility for some leadership responsibility for the right candidate

Although this position is to cover maternity, the school would also offer a permanent contract for the right person.

Person Specification

  • Have experience at subject leadership and improving standards across the school
  • Have experience of supporting others to improve teaching & learning
  • Have a passion and expertise for the teaching & learning of either Mathematics or English
  • Be skilled at building up positive & respectful relationships with children, parents & colleagues
  • Be an enthusiastic team player who is willing and able to share ideas and expertise
  • Be keen to develop their own teaching and try out new initiatives
  • Be an inspirational teacher who motivates all children to do their very best
  • Be committed to ensuring that every child may flourish and reach their full potential
  • DBS within a year
  • Hold QTS status
