Secondary Tutor based in Harrow, North West London

Remedy Education are looking for a Secondary Tutor to work 1:1 with a student with SEN, you will be teaching the students core subjects.

The young student requires up to 6 hours a week of Maths ,English and Science tuition, to start as soon as possible.

The young student has ASD, but is a very a pleasant and clever child to teach.

SEN experience needed: You will work privately or through the local authorities on a 1: 1 basis to make a difference to children with SEN including autism, ADHD, dyslexia and other additional needs.

To be a SEN Tutor you will need:

• QTS
• at least 2 years' experience teaching and assessing English and / or Maths and / or Science
• at least 2 years' experience working with SEN special educational needs such as autism, ADHD, dyslexia, ADD,
• a proven record of being able to heighten pupil's confidence, self-esteem and love of learning
• 100% passion for education, commitment, reliability and honesty
• to creatively apply differentiated techniques to planning and teaching
• excellent communication, literacy and numeracy skills
• incredible patience
• an excellent knowledge of different learning styles and how to use these
• the ability to deal with possible behaviour issues
• the ability to work flexibly and attend meetings outside hours if necessary
• a Enhanced DBS on the update service
