Your new school

Remedy are working in partnership with a number of Pupil Referral Units and Alternative Provisions in Greenwich who require Teaching Assistants to work with students who struggle to access mainstream education. These students often display very challenging behaviour and have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Short term, long term and permanent opportunities available.

Your new role

In this role, you will be required to support students who may be disengaged from education. You will build and maintain positive relationships with students to encourage learning and development. You will model and promote appropriate behaviour around school, challenge any behaviour that is not deemed to be appropriate and use suitable de-escalation techniques.

What you'll need to succeed

For this role, you will have experience of working with children and young people in some capacity such as a school, residential care, youth club or sports club. You will have an interest in working with challenging, vulnerable or at risk young people and be passionate about making a difference. You will ideally have an in date Team Teach training certificate or have completed other de-escalation/restraint training.
