Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Team Manager to work within Croydon Councils Childrens Services.

Social Work with Families is recruiting for a Team Manager to join its frontline service. The Social Work with Families services works with families where children are subject to child in need and child protection plans, and with children who are subject to pre and care proceedings, some of whom are looked after. The team is made up of social workers, an assistant team manager, a social work assistant and dedicated business support coordinator. Supported by the assistant team manager, the team manager takes lead operational responsibility for the team, providing guidance, oversight and support as they undertake assessments, implement plans and deliver interventions for children and young people in need and at risk of harm. You will be a qualified social worker, with current Social Work England registration, who is enthusiastic and passionate about making a difference to children and young people's lives in Croydon.

You will have a proven track record of delivering high quality services for vulnerable children and young people and experience of leading and managing the performance of social workers, ensuring cases are allocated effectively in terms of skills and experience.

It is a pre-requisite that you possess experience in a statutory children's social care setting and have an excellent working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework, relevant research and national developments and policies relating to children's social care. The successful candidate will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check which allows them to work with children.

You will need to be:
