Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Team Manager to work within Wandsworths Council Child in Need Adolescent Team.

Job Purpose

Specifically, you will manage a team who will work with and support vulnerable adolescents and their families, with a particular focus in the area of child exploitation.
The Team Manager will work as part of the management team in Families & Communities Safeguarding Service within one of the Vulnerable Adolescent CIN teams. The remit of the Vulnerable Adolescent teams is to focus on interventions primarily with those young people experiencing adolescent exploitation including but not limited to; providing services to young people and their families affected by going missing from home or care, criminal exploitation, sexual exploitation, serious youth violence, harmful sexual behaviour and gang affiliation.

The postholder will have significant knowledge of the use of theories and direct tools for working with children and young people, such as AMBIT, DDP, Systemic and restorative practices in order to successfully support staff in achieving positive impact and outcomes for vulnerable adolescents and their families.

The post holder will have a major contribution to make to the delivery of our vision and strategic priorities, by working with the Service Manager to manage the delivery and performance of high quality social work provision to children and their families across the Team. This will involve working with the Service Manager to drive quality practice in the team including using research and theoretical models to support good practice, and use management information and audit findings to identify where team or individual practice is excellent and can be shared with other staff.
* To ensure effective and contribution to the MARVE and the inter-related processes including, ensuring robust risk mitigation plans and appropriate review of risk to ensure a robust oversight of the vulnerable adolescent cohort within the team and across the CIN service.
* To manage one of the education outreach workers to ensure vulnerabilities around education, employment and training are supported.
