Remedy Education are looking for a Visual Impairment Teaching Assistant role in Croydon for a September 2020.

Remedy are working with a 1 Form entry primary school in Croydon that is seeking a Teaching Assistant with specialist skills to support a visually impaired student from September 2020. The role will be for one academic year initially, with the potential to extend.

The role is in a friendly primary school based in Croydon. They want to create an environment in which children are exciting by their learning and want to come to school. They bring ;earning to life through experiences. trips and visitors. They have a great reputation within the local community and a welcoming staff team.

The successful Visual Impairment Teaching Assistant will be required to work on a 1:1 basis with a reception student, delivering specialist vision impairment curriculum activities. They will be able to work alongside teachers to deliver plans and adapt lessons as necessary for the student. Prior experience is essential for this role, and an ability to read and write in Braille is highly desirable. The school is able to offer fantastic CPD opportunities.

Essential requirements:
Prior Visual Impairment Teaching Assistant experience, DBS
