Teaching Assistant - Speech & Language - Greenwich - ASAP start

An Oftsed rated 'Outstanding' school in Greenwich is looking to recruit an ambitious SEN Teaching Assistant to work alongside a team of professional Therapists and teachers.

The role will see the successful applicant working mainly 1:1 and often in small groups with students aged 5-19 years of age. The students have a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN) including: Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC/ASD), Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).

If successful, the Head Teacher will assign you to class which is best suited to your preferences, experience and skill set. The school also offers many professional training & development opportunities, so your ability will develop and a good rate while at the school and you will have the option of working across a range of year groups as your knowledge and confidence grows.

SEN Teaching Assistant - The Person:

  • You will need to be a Graduate with a 1st Class or a 2:1 Degree
  • Ideal for Psychology Graduates who are aspiring Speech & Language Therapists
  • Highly reliable, dependable, consistent, personable and professional

SEN Teaching Assistant - The Role:

  • Full-Time, Long-Term, £70-£80 per day
  • Working 1:1 and in small groups
  • Gaining experience alongside trained professional therapists and school teachers
  • Working to achieve the Individual Education Plans for your student(s)

SEN Teaching Assistant - The School:

  • A mixed special school for students aged 5 to 19 years of age
  • Offering a consistent and measured approach to education
  • Located in Greenwich, South East London
  • Close to the local overground and London Underground stations - 5 minute walk
