The role

An SEN school in Southwark is seeking a Teaching Assistant with SEN experience to join their expanding team. The successful applicant will be supporting small groups of young people with SLD and PMLD, a proportion of the young people have additional medical & sensory needs as well as physical disabilities. Progress with these pupils can be slow when compared to their contemporaries so patience, a caring nature, passion for the job and strong self belief will be essential.

The candidate

The successful candidate will be flexible, with the ability to use their own initiative where required. Experience working in an SEN school or with SLD/PMLD would be an advantage but the school is clear that they value a good teaching assistant first & foremost.
