An extensive knowledge of emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, learnt through studying a degree in Psychology is desired in this role, as is experience working with challenging young people. However, if you relish the opportunity of working and making a difference in this field despite lacking relevant experience, then this role could still be suited to you. As a Learning Mentor at this school you will be both supporting teaching and learning across the school as well as assisting EBD or SEN pupils throughout school life. Day-to-day, you will have the support of the inspirational SENCO that you can utilise to your advantage to help your progression and development in the role. You will have the opportunity to lead booster and intervention groups, mentor pupils 1:1 and work in classes across the school. Your Learning Mentor duties will include working in indoor and outdoor learning spaces and other impressive departmental facilities.
