Part-Time Teaching Assistant - Post-16 (Performing Arts Background)
£95-£115 per day (pro rata)

We are working with a specialist post-16 school who are looking to appoint a part-time Teaching Assistant with a performing arts background to support students in a creative and inclusive learning environment.

This role would suit someone with experience in drama, dance, music, or theatre, who is confident supporting young people aged 16+ and helping them engage, build confidence, and develop both academically and creatively.

The role:

• Support post-16 students in lessons, both 1:1 and in small groups

• Use performing arts skills to support engagement, communication, and self-expression

• Assist teaching staff during creative and classroom-based sessions

• Support students with additional needs where required

• Help create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment

The ideal candidate:

• Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant or support staff in an educational setting

• Comes from a performing arts background (drama, dance, music, theatre, or similar)

• Is confident supporting young people in a post-16 environment

• Is patient, encouraging, and able to build strong professional relationships

• SEN experience is desirable but not essential
