Job description
Croydon Council are looking for a Stock Condition Surveyor.
- First few weeks working in the office then 2 days WFH.
- Pay rate £33.66hr but can be negotiated.
- At least 4 years Building Surveyor experience.
- At least 4 years Housing Stock condition including HHSRS Surveys.
Role Purpose:
- Croydon Council has 14,000 residential properties and the Council invests about £27m in planned maintenance and improvements each year.
- The post holder plays a key role in the collecting, assessing and the future planning of required works to Croydon's housing and estates.
- This data and planning is essential in shaping strategic long term investment decisions as well as building the annual and 3-year programmes of works.
- The post holder will be required to undertake surveys of council homes & other assets and assessing them against the decent home standard and housing health and safety rating system.
- To undertake audits and spot checks as required on the stock condition surveys undertaken & data received by consultants, to ensure consistency of assessments.
- To ensure that the findings of the surveys can be used to inform and influence the council's investment programmes, strategies and policies at a strategic level as well as advising on any more immediate works if identified.
