Job description

Our client, Southend Council is looking for a Social Worker to join their MASH team.

This position is located within the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub+ (MASH+) and the post holder will be working with vulnerable service users in the Borough. The post holder will be expected to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals from other agencies including Police, Health, National Probation Services, Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health Services, voluntary organisation and Social Workers including Senior Managers to ensure a seamless quality service.The role will also involve dealing with very challenging contacts, meetings and responding to families that are in crisis. The job will involve working strictly to policy and procedures of Southend Children's Services, involvement in extremely high risk decision making and the exercise of a high level of judgement and personal responsibility for the safety of children. It also involves to working to very demanding timescales.

Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
