Job description
Our client, Sheffield City Council is looking for Social Worker to join their Fostering team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Senior Social Worker who has experience of fostering services to join our established fostering team and hold a case load of foster carers, supervising, supporting and motivating them through their fostering career to provide the very best of care for our children looked after.
We require a motivated suitably skilled and experienced senior social worker who holds a sound knowledge of fostering legislation and practice issues. We are looking for workers with a 'can do' attitude who can help us work through these challenging times due to the pandemic; someone who is resilient, flexible and creative at problem solving and who can work with us to deliver the same high level of service. As a key worker, we expect the successful candidate to be able to be part of our in-office social work team, and be able to undertake home visits to foster carers subject to risk assessments, where it is safe to do so and can keep in touch with families through on line platforms and other remote means to ensure that placements remain stable and foster carers feel supported.
Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
