Job description
Our client, Sheffield City Council is looking for a Childrens Social Worker to join their CIN, CP, PLO team.
We are looking for Senior Social Workers with more than 2 years post qualification experience who are qualified and registered with Social Work England and who have a strong background in safeguarding with experience of assessment work, risk management, CIN, CP, PLO and care proceedings. They will also have experience of managing care plans for children in care. It is strongly desirable that they have experience of working with children and young people who are experiencing complex mental health issues and have experience of working with specialist mental health hospitals. Experience of working with children and young people who are disabled is also desirable.
Applicants must have a good understanding of the Mental Health Act 1983. Support children and young people who have complex mental health issues, both at home, in placements and within specialist mental health hospitals. Ensure that there is a robust safety and care plan in place, that keeps the child/young person at the centre. Care plans will be developed in collaboration with the family and specialist agencies involved in the case, such as CAMHS, NHS England, Clinical Commissioning Group and specialist hospitals. Undertaking of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.
Essential requirements:
* Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification
* Registration with Social Work England
* ASYE completed
