Remedy Recruitment Group are currently seeking a BIA qualified Senior Practitioner to work within an Adults Safeguarding Team for a Local Authority based in East London.

Job Purpose

• To lead in promoting best practice across the borough in applying the principles and standards of the Mental Capacity Act 2005. To organise the service for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards, and by working in the Safeguarding Team promote a quality of service that reduces the risks of vulnerable adults experiencing abuse.
• To be responsible for the organisation of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards
• To ensure requests for DOLS authorisations are managed in a timely and appropriate
• To ensure activities under DOLS Procedures are processed to the appropriate Supervisory Body Local Authority.
• To undertake Best Interest Assessments, Deprivation of Liberty
• To ensure records and returns are managed efficiently

About you

• Professional Social Work, qualification as recognised by the HCPC
• Current HCPC registration
• Recent post qualification study
• Evidence of CPD
• Best Interest Assessor award
• Approved Mental Health Professional award - (specialist teams)
• 3 years post qualifying experience in health and/or social care setting.
