An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic SEND BSL Teaching Assistant / Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant with BSL experience in an our Good rated school in Lewisham.

The school is for hearing impaired students in KS3 - KS5. The students have various abilities; from MLD / Moderate Learning Difficulties to more complex and profound needs. This post requires a compassionate and talented Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Teaching Assistant with BSL experience who is dedicated to supporting children with SEND.

All applicants must have a minimum of 6 months experience working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities including hearing impaired and deaf and will be, ideally, level 2 or 3 teaching assistant.

Due to the nature of the students attending the school the role will require (ideally Level 2+) BSL qualification.

What you'll need to succeed
* Excellent communication skills and patient approach

* Confident and caring with supporting students with SEND

* BSL Level 2 or Level 3 and/or makaton experience

* Enthusiastic and dedicated to making a difference
