Do you hold the National SENCO qualification?

Would you thrive in an environment where SEN is a priority, and where the school would look to you to stay on top of all aspects of SEN life?

If you think you are up for the responsibility and the challenge, then apply today to be immediately considered for a life-changing SENCO role at a respected Secondary school in Greenwich.

SENCO

Inclusive Secondary school in Greenwich, South East London, with higher than average levels of SEN

January 2018 start and immediate interview on offer

Hugely-improved Secondary School

Supportive Head Teacher who holds a genuine passion for ensuring the best for her SEN students!

The SENCO Person Specification
This post requires a driven, motivated, qualified SENCO who is looking to add more responsibility and a new challenge to their portfolio, and someone who ideally has a lot of first-hand experience working with various SEN pupils! An experienced teacher would be perfect, although this role does not directly involve teaching, but crucially a strong behaviour manager and someone who brings a flair and a respectful approach to school life. If you can match the Head Teacher in that you genuinely care, and are comfortable working closely with multiple external agencies, then this is the role for you!

The SENCO Role
As a dedicated SENCO at this delightful Greenwich Secondary School, you will be leading the development of the entire SEN department, and will be directly contributing to the school's SEN policy. You will be tasked with providing specific intervention nurture groups, set up to develop pupils pastorally. Keep a log of your SEN students and track their progress, as well as evaluating and assessing their TEPs. A key ingredient to your roles success will be liaising and communicating clearly with pupils' parents in a professional and positive manner.

If you believe you are ready for more responsibility as a SENCO, and have the knowledge and experience to improve the teaching and learning of SEN across a well-run Secondary School, contact Carly Walters at Remedy Education for more information.

Please note: due to the volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted.
