Job Title: SEN/SEND Tutor

Area: Ashford

Role Overview: We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced SEN/SEND tutor to deliver 10 hours per week tuition to a Year 3 student at their home in reading, writing and maths at a Year 1 level.

This would take place in the mornings.

• Develop and implement personalised learning plans that address each student's strengths and areas for improvement.
• Use a variety of teaching methods and resources to make learning engaging and accessible.
• Track and report on student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare students for exams and assessments, offering strategies for success.
• Foster a positive and supportive learning environment that encourages student confidence and independence.

Requirements:

• Relevant qualifications in education or a related subject (e.g., a degree in English, Maths, Science, Education, or equivalent).
• Experience in tutoring or teaching core subjects.
• Strong knowledge of the curriculum and exam requirements for English, Maths, and Science.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Ability to tailor teaching methods to suit different learning styles and abilities.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Desirable:

• Teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience with educational technology and online tutoring platforms.
• Familiarity with special educational needs and strategies to support diverse learners.
