PMLD Teaching Assistant - Long term - September 2018

Remedy Education are recruiting for an 'Outstanding' SEN school in Southwark, for a long term SEN Teaching Assistant roles, starting in September. Our school provides quality education for children special educational needs and difficulties, including severe learning difficulties (SLD), and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).

Person Specification - PMLD Teaching Assistant - Southwark

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be proactive and engaging; plan and prepare learning opportunities tailored to the individual needs of each child; provide effective teaching to children with different special educational needs; be adaptable when meeting the needs of each individual child; have previous teaching experience (not necessarily in a specific SEN setting); a clear and adaptable approach to teaching; a calm and consistent manner, looking to make a difference; be approachable to all pupils and act as a positive behavioural role model; forge positive working relationships with pupils, parents and staff.

Successful Applicants will be subject to references and an up to date DBS with update service or be willing to apply for a new DBS through Remedy Education.
