SEN Teaching Assistant - Makaton Specialist - Haringey, North London

Have you previously worked as an SEN Teaching Assistant?

Have you been trained and are you confident in using Makaton to support primary-aged pupils?

We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant, Makaton Specialist to support children in a primary school based in Haringey, North London.

The role will involve working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 supporting students with SEN needs, specifically using your Makaton knowledge to help communicate with the students.

The role:

• To support children with special educational needs across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
• To use Makaton to deliver lessons to groups and on a one to one basis
• To assist the Teacher in supporting children with various needs and abilities

Essential Requirements:

• Must have experience supporting children in a primary school
• Must be available 5 days per week on a long term basis
• Must be flexible and willing to carry out lunchtime/break time duty
