SEN Teaching Assistant - Camden, North West London

Remedy Education are seeking a patient, caring and personable Teaching Assistant to support students within the classroom as well as on a 1:1 basis.

The role will be on a full time basis Monday to Friday starting ASAP.

The successful SEN Teaching Assistant will support a child working to an individualised work plan. Activities will be set by the teacher and SENDCo and you will be expected to support pupils with their progress and attainment.

You will be supporting students with various SEN such as ASD, Learning difficulties and challenging behaviour.

We are ideally looking for teaching assistants who:

• Are confident to support their SEND pupils with a range of needs from Autism to SLD
• Able to support students and keep on track in a variety of lessons
• A committed professional, who has previous experience working with children (experience with special needs is desirable)
• Resilient in dealing with challenging behaviour

The school is based in the borough of Camden and bordering Islington with great transport links and friendly welcoming staff.

To be accepted for this role you must have previous experience working within a school supporting SEN students and you must have current DBS.
