SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD) - Lambeth, South East London

A great primary school is seeking full-time teaching assistants to support pupils across Key Stage 2 who are on the autistic spectrum. The role will involve support pupils on a one-to-one basis with their learning, using Makaton and PECS systems to improve their understanding and encouraging pupil's participation both in and outside of class.

Our primary school based in Lambeth has a brilliant reputation in the local community. Their friendly and inclusive ethos makes the school a great place to work and learn. Pupils perform above the national average and have excellent behaviour. Teaching Assistants can expect full support and briefing from the senior leadership team, whilst dedicated ongoing support will be provided by the SENDCo.

The ideal candidate for this position will be a confident, up-beat Teaching Assistant who has the patience to work at a tailored pace to support pupils with special educational needs. Prior experience working with special needs pupils is desired but completely essential if you possess a proactive and team player attitude. This is a rewarding role to kick start your career working in education.

This is a full time, long term position starting ASAP, paying £80-85 a day
